Unknown attackers openly indulged in hooliganism in the house of an NRI resident of village Jivanpur Jattan. According to information, around 10 youths armed with sharp weapons barged into a house in two vehicles and attacked. According to information received from the scene of the incident, around 10 attackers came in two vehicles, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Chevrolet Cruze, to the house of Sohan Singh, son of Bakhshish Singh and started vandalizing the house after entering it. As soon as the attackers entered, they started breaking the Mahindra Scorpio car, Honda Activa, fridge, TV, AC and doors parked inside the house and when Sohan Singh and his wife tried to ask the reason, the attackers started abusing them. Sohan Singh told that he saved his life by locking himself in a room with an iron grill door, whose door the attackers failed to break. Sohan Singh’s neighbor Daljit Singh told that this is the first time such an incident has happened in our village and if Sohan Singh had not locked himself in the room, he could have lost his life. After this incident, there is a lot of fear in the village. While leaving, the attackers also took the receiver with them and CCTV cameras were also vandalized. ASI Balveer Singh of Mahilpur Police, who reached the spot, has started investigation and has also assured to catch the attackers soon.
